The definition of DJing has changed dramatically in the last decade. Laptops, controllers, and software have emerged alongside more traditional turntables and CDJ’s, smashing the barrier to entry. In today’s digital age, anyone can become a DJ. To reflect this renaissance, Dubspot has created the Digital DJing with Traktor Pro 2 program. In both our physical and online schools, students will learn how to DJ entirely with Traktor‘s cutting-edge technology. An emphasis will be placed on the concepts of DJing rather than simply learning how to use the software. Starting with a historical overview, students will learn the fundamental concepts of the DJ via Traktor’s intuitive interface. They will then begin to delve into the vast array of new possibilities offered by this groundbreaking software, recording their work along the way. Students will leave with a portfolio of DJ mixes, a thorough introduction to DJing with Traktor, and a skill set and knowledge base perfect for further development.
- Apr 05, 2011 The fact that lots of the “innovations” in Traktor Pro 2 are from the S4 software contributed a bit to maybe a less than massive “wow” from users on launch, but I think that this new incarnation of Traktor Pro needs to be seen for what it is – formalising the functionality of the S4 in all Traktor software, so other hardware.
- Jan 20, 2012 This week Dubspot Digital DJ instructor DJ Endo breaks down everything you ever wanted to know about Native Instruments’ Traktor 2 preferences. Traktor Pro 2 Software
I've noticed this happens every now and then when I'm playing live. I had the unit repaired a few months back to correct an issue with the jog of the unit scraping the mainboard. Ever since I've gotten it back it's had a new problem. Last time it happened I took a video.
Basically sometimes when I load a track into deck B on my S4, the track doesn't play at all. The loading light will flash like crazy, and the phase meter will go back and forth, but you will hear nothing, and nothing will show on the vu meter. This has happened a few times live, which is quite scary when the other track ends in a few seconds. I've gotten out of it by looping and reverting to deck D, but I can't continue to risk this happening. I took the unit in to Long and McQuade in Toronto for repair, yet they still won't do anything, despite this being the third or fourth S4 to die on me in two years and a performance warranty. Any advice for this situation?
I'm using a 2012 MacBook Pro with Traktor 2.6.1 and the latest drivers.
